Srinagar, Sept 14: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) today elected Javeed Ahmad Tenga as its new president as results of Executive Committee were declared here at Amar Singh Club.A spokesman of KCCI said the Chamber held its 83rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today here which was attended by large number of members.
“As a part of the agenda for the AGM results of the elections for Executive Committee of KCCI for the year 2017-2018 were declared by Abdul Majid Matto, the chairman and two other members Dr Mubeen Shah and Nazir Ahmad Wani of the three member Election Commission constituted for the purpose of conducting the elections to the 21 member Executive Committee.
He said Javeed Ahmad Tenga has been elected president of the Chamber while Nasir Ahmad Khan senior vice president, Fayaz Ahmad Punjabi junior vice president, Dr Gazalla Amin secretary general, Muzzafar Majid Jan joint secretary general and Sheikh Imran Treasurer.
The other Executive Committee members elected today included Manzoor Ahmad Pakhtoon, Parveez A Naqash, Asif Siddiq, Farooq Amin, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Adil Hussain, Ashfaq Siddiq Dug, Parveez Ahmad Bha, Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Chowdhary Muhammad Shahid, Altaf Ahmad Trumboo, Syed Masood A Shah, Sheikh Gowhar Ali, Sheikh Zahoor Ahmad and Majid Aslam Wani.
