JAMMU, June 3: Demanding continuation of their service as well as adjustment against available vacancies in the Government schools, Temporary teachers of 2014 held a protest demonstration, here today.
Carrying banners and raising slogans in support of their demands, the protesting Temporary teachers urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally look into their demands and issue necessary orders in this regard.
The protest was organized under the banner of J&K Temporary Teachers Association-2014, led by it its president Balwinder Singh Pawar.
While addressing the protest dharna, Balwinder Singh lamented that no political party and their Legislators were raising their voice during the ongoing Assembly session, in support of Temporary teachers.
“The Education Minister Naeem Akhtar told the Assembly that a number of posts of teacher are lying vacant in the schools but this Government is not ready to absorb the Temporary teachers,” he said and appealed the Chief Minister to personally look into their demand for necessary action.
The protest was also addressed by some other leaders of the Association, who threatened to intensify their struggle if the Government does consider their demand.
