Temple theft case solved; accused arrested with stolen cash

JAMMU, Sept 4: Arnia Police solved a theft case by arresting the accused along with stolen cash.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Arnia by a person namely Rohit Singh, son of Charan Singh of Powal District Jammu about the theft of cash from donation box of Shiv temple at Powal.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 89/2022 under sections 474 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Sumeet Sharma and assisted by PSI Mohammad Ilyas was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta.
The team put in hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Pawan Kumar alias Jony, son of Sham Lal Jogi of Alah, Arnia, District Jammu.
On his disclosure, police team recovered the stolen cash.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
