M/S Krsnaa Diagnostics Private Limited, Pune will provide Tele-Radiology services by way of transmission of medical images and reporting thereof at the healthcare facilities in J&K under National Free Diagnostics Service(s) initiative of the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
For and on behalf of Health & Medical Education Department, the MoU was signed, in presence of Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner to Government, H&ME Department, J&K, between Khem Raj, Financial Advisor & CAO, National Health Mission, J&K and Anil Gulabrao Salunkhe, Executive Vice President – PPP and Government Affairs, M/s Krsnaa Diagnostics Private Limited. Bhupinder Kumar, Mission Director, NHM, J&K and other officers were also present on the occasion.
With respect to Tele-Radiology initiative, apart from infrastructure, lack of specialist clinicians, especially radiologists, has been a major challenge, which denies the poor patients the access to radio-diagnosis. To bridge this gap a viable and cost effective PPP model has been devised under which digitized X-ray films/CT scan images are transmitted to service provider and reports are received within a stipulated time-frame.
Under this intervention, M/s Krsnaa Diagnostics Private Limited, selected through a transparent bidding process, has been engaged to provide for digitization of X-rays/CT scan images, transmission thereof to its remote locations and ensure reporting of the same by its Radiologists in stipulated time.
This initiative will reduce Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OOPE) of the patients availing radiology services and reports, both online and hard copy (ies), will be made available in the healthcare institutions where samples are collected, for the benefit of patients.
