It is good to see that the indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas is slowly making itself an important component of Indian Air Force (IAF).
The induction of Tejas in IAF will not only strengthen India’s air power, but will also give a great boost to ‘Make in India’ initiative launched by PM Narendra Modi. Besides, it will reduce our dependence on foreign countries for weaponry and would save lot of money which could be utilised for developmental works in the country.
If Tejas is further upgraded with latest technology and would meet future challenges of military, it can make an ideal export item. The manufacturers of Tejas-HAL should leave no stone unturned to make Tejas a pride possession of Indian Air Force.
Indian Air Force is still short of combat aircrafts to match the China’s airpower capability. The slow and steady progress of Tejas is definitely a great achievement for DRDO scientist’s and they deserve compliments for this success.
