Teenager stabbing case: two arrested

JAMMU, Jan 20: Police today arrested two persons, who were involved in a stabbing case, which took place yesterday in Pounichak area, falling under the jurisdiction of Domana Police Station.
Police spokesman said that, two cousin brothers Kinshuk, son of Ajay Safaya of Shakti Nagar and Anshu Bhan, son of Ashok Kumar of Amar Colony, were on their way back to home from a computer shop yesterday.
“The duo stopped on the way and were watching a quarrel between two groups of youth”, he said, adding that one group mistaking them as from rival party attacked them with a sharp edged weapon ‘kritch’ and inflicted injuries on them.
The duo was shifted to Government Medical College and hospital (GMCH), where they were undergoing treatment, he added.
Acting on a tip off, police party from Pouni Chak Police Post apprehended two accused from Bus Stand, who had boarded Amritsar bound bus to flee from the State.
The accused were identified as Maninder Singh alias Lucky, son of Sohan Singh and Harvinder Singh alias Munna, both residents of Gole Gujral.
On their disclosure, it came to fore that Shabi and Kaka, son of Anoop Singh were also involved in the stabbing, he said, adding the manhunt has been launched to apprehend them.
“We conducted raid at their house, but the accused along with other family members managed to flee”, spokesman added.
A case has been registered at Pouni Chak police post and further investigation into the case is in progress.
Police party led by SI Sunil Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bharat Sharma and SDPO Sandeep Mehta.
