SRINAGAR: A teenage girl was killed and four persons were injured when a car in which they were travelling met with an accident in the frontier district of Kupwara on Monday, official sources said.
They said a car skidded off the road due to slippery road conditions following fresh snowfall early this morning and fell into a nallah at Kralpora in Kupwara.
A girl identified as Usman Iqbal (19) was killed and four other occupants were injured. The injured identified as Bashir Ahmad Baigh, Asif Ahmad Bhat, Jabeena Begum and Mohammad Maqbool were rescued and shifted to hospital.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
