JAMMU, Mar 28: TECHNOVATION 2018 a mega State wide technical festival was inaugurated today at Government Polytechnic, Jammu.
The two-day technical festival, which has been organised 1st time in the history of Technical Education Department by Government Polytechnic Jammu, was inaugurated by Hilal Ahmed Parray, Commissioner/Secretary Technical Education and YSS Deptt along with Shabnam Shah Kamli, Director Technical Education, J&K. The event has been partnered with CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar.
Speaking on the occasion, Hilal Ahmed Parray motivated the students to take up innovative ideas and help the society groom for a better tomorrow.
Shabnam Shah Kamli also motivated the students to work in the field of technical education and bring new ideas and innovations in the field of Technology for making the life of common man simple.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Govt Polytechnic Jammu, informed that the two day event will provide an opportunity to all young innovative minds to use technology and provide solutions to our day today problems and motivate the students towards innovation and analytical thinking.
Various competitions and activities like Code War, Website Designing, Electronic Circuit Making, Mechanical Assembly, Project Demonstration, Quiz, Tech Show are being organised in the Technical festival, in which students of various Polytechnics of Jammu division are participating.
In these events, more than 215 students from Govt Polytechnic Jammu, Women Polytechnic Jammu, Govt Polytechnic Reasi, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, NITS Polytechnic and ASCIT Polytechnic College are participating.
Er Jasdeep Kour, Lecturer I&C, conducted proceeding of the programme. Other who were present, included Er Mohd Shafi Bhat, Joint Director Technical Education J&K, Er Mehmood Ahmed, Secretary State Board of Technical Education, Abhishekh Soni, Dy Director, Career Counselling and Placement Cell, CT Group of Institution, Jalander, Er Suket Gupta, Principal, Government Polytechnic Reasi, Er Neelanjana Manwati, Principal, Skill Mission, Er Inderjeet Singh, Er Kuldeep Bhatia and all HoDs, staff of various Government and private Polytechnic of Jammu division.
