Teachers Joint Action Committee meets DSEJ, raises burning issues

JAMMU, Aug 7: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, today called on Director School Education Jammu Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma in his office chamber and raised the issues confronting the teachers.
Vinod Sharma demanded regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time as a some cases are pending for last more than two years,
JKTJAC also demanded transfer policy in favour of Teachers appointed under ReT scheme, issuance of directions to CEOs to project mutual transfer cases of RReTs if they approach for the same, DPC of teachers to Masters as same hasn’t been done since 2014, inclusion of names of teachers for seniority who have done their B Ed through department but their certificates are still awaited,
Conversion of Headteachers posts (SSA) into non plan posts of Masters in upgraded middle schools and issuance of circular regarding confirmation of services of teachers who have completed two years regular service were also demanded.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress all the issues raised by JKTJAC leadership.
Later, the same deputation also met with Joint Director Showkat Ahmed and Chief Account Officer Mahesh Chander Sharma in their respective offices regarding the resolution of the issues at their end. The delegation comprised of JKTJAC Chief Publicity Secretary, Sham Sharma; UT Secretary Sukesh Khajuria and District President Udhampur, Lekh Raj Parihar.
