JAMMU, July 17: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has sought thorough probe into recent transfers of teachers, ordered by Chief Education Officer Rajouri, despite ban on the same.
The issue was raised during a meeting of Central body members of JKTF, held here today under the chairmanship of Soorat Singh Toofani, Provincial general secretary.
The meet alleged pick and choose in affecting transfers by the Chief Education Officer Rajouri thus violating all the norms and also the ban on transfers. More number of extra teachers have been transferred in the hard zone and they include blind, handicapped and RETs while some teachers, who have already served in hard zone of Rajouri District have been transferred in hard zones again in violation of transfer policy, the meet alleged.
The Speakers condemn such type of dictatorial attitude adopted by CEO Rajouri causing mental trauma and harassment to teachers. They appealed Governor and his Advisor Khursheed Ganai to intervene into the matter and order through enquiry into the matter besides making these transfers null and void.
