JAMMU, Aug 9: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, Jammu, has condemned the Education Department authorities for holding screening test of the ReT Teachers.
“The new tool of harassment will multiply the suffering of the teachers who have already been put to many inconveniences,” said Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary of the Forum while addressing a press conference, here today.
He stressed that the ReT Teachers have played a great role in opening of the closed schools in far-flung area thus raising literacy rate and increasing enrollment besides minimizing dropout.
Instead of harassing these ReTs, the Government should speed up their cases of regularization and ensure timely release of the monthly salary, he added.
The Forum leader also highlighted some other demands, such as release of the salary of teachers/Master under SSA and RMSA, immediate release of mid-day meal grants, adjustment of 1100 teachers, who were promoted as Master in February 2014 and repatriation of newly promoted Masters, who have completed their tenure in other than home district.
