Teachers Forum protests for highlighting issues, demands

UDHAMPUR, July 25: To highlight the burning issues of the School Education Department, a protest demonstration was organized by the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, here today, in front of the CEO office.
The protesting members of JKTF, led by district president Surinder Sharma, raised slogans in support of their demands and sought the intervention of Advisor to the Governor to resolve salary issue of the Masters working as Head teachers in Middle Schools upgraded under SSA, now SMAGRA.
The Forum also demanded expediting the process for issuing promotion lists of Masters as I/’C Headmasters who are also waiting for the last one and half year, release of the left out pending lists of Masters as Incharge Lecturers in various disciplines, filling up of all the vacant posts of Teachers/Masters, especially in rural and far flung areas and transfer orders in favour of teaching fraternity who are posted in far flung areas for the last 5-7 years.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Sanjay Sharma, Chaman Lal, Kewal Krishan, Satvir Choudhary, Ravi Padha, Rakesh Kumar, Gulsher Ahmed, Vijay Sharma Shiv Dev Singh, Rajkumar Badyal, Gyan Singh, Swarn Singh, Girdhari Lal and others.
