Teachers Forum discusses demands, issues with DSEJ

JAMMU, Sept 4: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, under the leadership of Ganesh Khajuria- Chairman JKTF, held a detailed meeting with the Director School Education, Jammu, Ravi Shankar Sharma and discussed the issues being faced by the teaching community.
The meeting was attended by the office bearers of JKTF while Director School Education Jammu was accompanied by the Personnel Officer, Joint – Director and the Chief Accounts Officer from DSE.
The main focus was laid on the issues pertaining to all the cadres of Teaching fraternity and JKTF sought rationalization of the teaching staff, implementation of the Annual Transfer Derive -2022 and DPC of Teachers to Master Grade by extending the cut off date as 31-12-2005 in order to fill all the vacant posts of Masters in the Jammu Province.
The Forum appealed the higher authorities to do justice with Teachers Grade-II, Grade-III, RRET’s and the 3rd Teacher by staying the Order No. – Edu-RET/1/2022-01 (CC No. 114045), dt. 25-7-2022 for the Summer Zone of Jammu Province on the pattern of Winter Zone till the formulation of a Transfer policy in their favour.
The Forum appealed for providing the adequate infrastructure for the facility of the students of Govt run schools as soon as possible in order to achieve the optimum success.
As the Biometric Attendance System has not been installed in the Primary and Middle Schools due to the non-availability of adequate funds, the Forum sought directions to the concerned Treasury Officers to draw salaries of Teaching staff working in the respective Schools till the Biometric system is installed in these schools.
The Forum also demanded regularisation of all the Incharge cadres, creation of posts of non-teaching cadres, expediting the process for conversion of the Education Volunteers to the RETs, enhancement in the wages of Mid Day Meal cooks, etc.
The Director School Education Jammu listen to the delegation with a great patience and assured that all the issues shall be resolved on the priority basis at the earliest.
