JAMMU, Aug 29: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation called on Director School Education and apprised him of various demands and issues of the teachers.
The deputation, led by Bhushan S Verma, expressed its strong resentment over the irrational posting of newly promoted Masters, who have either been adjusted at zero distance or in far flung areas. The Federation demanded a probe in the adjustments for identifying the persons who did the wrong.
The deputation also demanded timely distribution of title books in the schools, periodical increments, earned leave for teachers, selection grade to all Under Graduate teachers, relieving teachers from the Mid Day Meal responsibility, filling up of vacant posts of teachers, salary grants and regularization of all the ReTs and EGS teachers who have completed their prescribed tenure.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the Federation members and also assured action over the issues discussed with him.
The deputation comprised of Agya Kour, Mohan Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Maheshwar Prasad, Kuldeep Sharma, Hem Raj Raina, Rattan Lal, Chanchal Singh, Surinder Sharma, Kulbhushan Sharma, Varinder and others.
