JAMMU, June 24: A teacher died tonight due to electric shock in Bawe-da-Talab area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Manoj Kumar (37) son of Jameet Ram, resident of Gura Singhu (Bawe-da-Talab). He said that the deceased, who is a teacher by profession, received electric shock tonight when he came in contact with a live wire at his residence.
“In unconscious condition, Manoj was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” the official said, adding the body was shifted to mortuary room of the Hospital while Kanachak police had taken cognizance of the matter.
