MANDI (POONCH), Nov 2:
Cautioning people against electing incredible leaders in the on-going electoral process, leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Abdul Rehman Veeri today said that need of the hour is to elect those representatives who would fulfill wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing an impressive public meeting at Mandi in support of party candidate Shah Mohammad Tantray, Mr Veeri said that for years together NC leaders have befooled the masses by making false promises and it is high time to teach a lesson to this party for betraying the masses for the lust of power.
Pointing towards prevailing anarchy and chaos in the State, Mr Veeri said that during the last six years corruption and nepotism was legalized and Ministers were indulged in corrupt practices. He specially mentioned that Government jobs were auctioned in open market and kith and kin of ministers and influential persons were appointed through backdoor.
He said that there was a strong wave in favour of PDP in whole State and the National Conference would be wiped out from the political scene.
