JAMMU, Nov 30: Vikram Malhotra, Congress candidate, Jammu East Assembly segment said that the time has come to teach lessons to those who have been trying to divide society for their political gains though divisive policies.
Appealing the voters not to waste their votes by falling in trap of hollow slogan mongers and communal forces, which play the politics of dividing the communities, Malhotra said, “Such forces only surface at the time of election and mislead the people by spreading false propaganda, inciting the sentiments of innocents.”
Malhotra, continuing his election campaign in the localities of Jammu East, today visited Ward-2 and other areas and appealed to voters to vote in his favour. In Ward-2, a rally was also taken out amidst drum beating. Hundreds of supporters accompanied Vikram Malhotra, shouted slogans in his favour and appealed the voters to cast their vote in his favour.
Addressing the people, Malhotra said that it is the Congress party only which strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and secularism. He added that party represents hope and optimism. Congress Government in Centre as well as in the State has always worked for bringing equality among all the castes and communities of the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
Vikram further said that he was working at grassroots level for the last many years for the overall development in the Jammu East constituency. He appealed the people to caste their valuable votes in his favour and give him a chance to serve them.
