TCS recruits 60 Engineering Students from SMVDU

KATRA, Aug 27: Taking lead in Campus Placements for the students in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has started its Campus Recruitment Program 2016 with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) Campus Selection Process.
A team of 11 Technical and HR Panellists from TCS conducted the Campus Drive for 2016 passing out students from August 23 to 26, 2015. Only Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University(SMVDU), Katra and Government College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Jammu were selected for Campus Placements by TCS. 207 students appeared in the Campus Selection Process consisting of Online Test, Technical Interview, Management Round and HR Interview. Passing through tough selection process, 60 students from SMVDU Katra and 13 students from GCET Jammu were declared finally selected by the TCS Recruitment Team.
Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University congratulated all TCS final selects and advised them to be sincere, hardworking and honest to their work after joining. He also asked the students to stay at least 3 to 5 years with the company so that they get specialization in their field which will also be helpful for their juniors in the university.
