JAMMU, Oct 28: The Tawi Andolan and Namami Ganga in a joint meeting expressed satisfaction that only indigenous material is at sale in the market for Diwali celebrations.
The meeting said it is also a matter or pride that people are asking for indigenous goods.
Addressing the meeting Chander Mohan Sharma senior BJP leader made an appeal to public at large to observe Green Diwali where in no polluting material is used such as smoke and sound creating crackers and other fire works. The saved Puja material be also dumped deep in ground instead of throwing on the land or in water bodies. It will make atmosphere pollution free besides save birds and insects from destruction.
