Tarigami cautions people against emotive slogans

KULGAM, Nov 27: Stressing that the development of the State must be the focus of new Government, the CPI (M) State Secretary and Party candidate from Kulgam Assembly Segment, Mohammed Yousf Tarigami who is seeking people’s mandate for a record fourth consecutive term today cautioned the people against those elements who are raising the emotive issues.
Addressing a mammoth election rally at Nehama near here, he said people have witnessed that raising of emotive issues lead to bloodshed and hatred and they have suffered a lot on this account over the years.
He said they need a Government which can lick their wounds and fulfill their aspirations with good governance and development which are the hall mark of his Party.
He said it is the need of hour to strengthen the secular forces in the State to foster the bonds of co-existence and brotherhood and CPI (M) is committed to the same. He alleged that different forms of political leadership have failed in promoting process of development in the State. The time has come when people must come forward and support those political forces who wanted the unity in the entire society irrespective of religion, region and caste to ensure the progress for the State as a whole.
Tarigami said State is facing the huge problems of unemployment, corruption and mis-governance and the focus should be to form a strong voice in support of good governance. He appealed people to cast their vote in his favour for total development of the Constituency. Mr Tarigami also made an appeal to Kashmiri migrants from the same platform to strengthen the secular forces for restoration of composite culture of Valley and their honourable and dignified return.
