The nefarious designs of Pakistan on continued basis against the country shows no changes as it is now frantically trying to disturb peace and tranquillity in Jammu as has been observed for the last couple of months. Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies deserve appreciation in foiling a major terror attack in the heart of Jammu coinciding with the 2nd anniversary of dastardly terror attack in 2019 in Lethpora Pulwama Kashmir – martyring 40 brave hearts of the CRPF.
This time, a Nursing College student was carrying 6.5 kilograms of the deadly Improvised Explosive Device (IED) who was apprehended along with the explosive material which under directions from across the border, the student turned terrorist Suhail Bashir had to plant at one of the four targets in the heart of city including the busiest General Bus stand. Three more militants from Jammu , Kashmir and Chandigarh too were arrested. Al-Badr terror outfit wanted with this explosive to cause maximum damages in the city. The devilish manoeuvrings of the forces from across the border had even written in Urdu on the device itself the directions of how to use, ” yeh side dushman ki taraf rakhen ” or plant this side of device towards the enemy. Like this, it was ensured that the terrorist assigned with the satanic job did not commit any ”miscalculation” and maximum damage took place.
Not only this, Police has recovered 6 pistols, 15 IEDs, 12 pistol magazines, 179 pistol rounds, IED making material in Ramgarh area of Samba from two wooden packets hidden in bushes. It is to be seen that Samba in Jammu and Chandigarh are becoming hot spots of new locations to meet , arrange weapons and distribute the same among terror outfits still operating in Kashmir. Investigation and interrogation of the arrested militants would make things still clear as to how Pakistan saw employing terrorism and blood spilling the only ways to keep in vain, the vulnerable UT of Jammu and Kashmir in international spotlight even if it still got more exposed as being the terror epicentre in the world.
What is needed is constant vigil, intensifying intelligence network on and around borders, thorough frisking at vulnerable points, upping the existing security apparatus- all to foil, defeat, cripple and thwart Pakistan’s similar attempts which it has been up to since its birth against this country.
