JAMMU, Dec 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Congress leader, Tara Chand has exhorted upon the party workers to expose the BJP’s failures so as to take on the saffron brigade in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Chak Malal in Khour area today, former DyCM asked the party workers to strengthen Congress and also expose the failures of the BJP in the area. He said only Congress Party can fulfill its election promises, adding that the newly formed Congress Governments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh fulfilled their poll promises of waiving off farmers’ loans within few hours of Government formation there.
He said the need of the hour was to reach out to the people, especially youth, in every nook and corner in order to make them aware of the programmes and policies of the Congress Party.
