LEH, Nov 19: The Cultural Academy, Leh, today organised a talent hunt program on Ladakhi folk songs and music among the students of 11 Government Schools of Khaltsi block including Skurbucha and Hemis Shukpachan at Khaltsi residential school.
As per the judgement, eight winners including six boys and two girls were selected for further training of Cultural Academy, Leh.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Officer for Culture, Tsewang Paljor said that it is an endeavour to infuse in our younger generation an interest for local folk songs and music with a vision of passing the cultural richness of the region of music to our posterity, thus avoiding its degeneration.
