JAMMU, July 13: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take up the demands of the people of the Jammu region particularly of Jammu West Assembly Constituency in the District Development Board (DDB) meeting, scheduled to be held on July 15.
This was stated by Sunil Dimple, president, JWAM, while addressing protestors during a demonstration, here today.
Prolonged power cuts are creating problems for the people and the Government and the concerned department are least bothered about it, compelling the people to come on roads, he added.
Dimple demanded expedition of the Chenab Water Supply Project as people are facing lots of problems due to water shortage.
He demanded supply of sugar to the Government ration depots for the convenience of the people, construction of fly-overs to overcome the rising traffic problems and CBI enquiry in the ongoing developmental work by ERA.
Among others present were Dr Sham Saroop Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta, Ashok Khanna, Vinod Suri, Koushal Kumar, Sanjeev Dogra, Som Nath Sharma, etc.
