KISHTWAR, Mar 6: Asserting that growing mass base of  Peoples Democratic Party has frustrated its political opponents, especially National Conference, Member Legislative Council,  Firdous Tak today said that  entire State stands behind Mehbooba Mufti.
“People of  J&K are aware about the hollow slogans of  NC leadership and their role in sacrificing interest of State for power. They know the interest this party has watched over the decades of misrule and mis-governance”, Tak said while addressing public Darbar at Dool.
The PDP legislator said that Mufti Mohd Sayeed brought a revolution after he took over as Chief Minister in 2002 and the period is still known as golden era of JK history. “The NC-Cong combine instead of carrying forward that political and developmental pace reversed the achievements plunging the State into chaos”, he said adding that Omar Abdullah’s failures were acknowledged none other than the alliance partner Congress itself.
He said that today entire State, irrespective of region and political ideology, stands behind PDP chief  Mehbooba Mufti.  “They see in her a leader who prefers policies and principles over power. They see in her hope”, he said.
He reminded that in around nine months of  PDP led Government, State was again on path of development and prosperity. “Mufti Sahib gifted us with schemes like Ladli Beti, marriage assistance, Rozgar and showed us the path of public service and delivery”.
Tak said that Pachayats are connected with people at grass root level as such this institution shall be transparent and accountable. “You should elect educated, talented and honest people in the upcoming elections so as to ripe the benefits of various government schemes”, he urged the gathering.
Another party leader Nazir Ahmed Shah said that district administration should  organise special awareness camps in the far off areas so that people know about the welfare schemes.
District  secretary Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza, Distt president Youth Wasil Doolwal, senior party functionaries Sajad Ahmed Dev, Capt (Rtd) Mohd Ashraf Kichloo), Arshad Hussain Giri, Arjun Rana and Yasir Najar were also present.
