Tailor arrested with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Apr 26: Continuing their drive against smuggling of illicit liquor in the holy town Katra, police arrested a tailor and recovered 20 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
According to SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar, police team from Katra police station led by SHO Inspector Kuldeep Krishan conducted a raid in a tailor shop near Municipal Committee Office, Katra and recovered 20 pouches of illicit liquor.
Police arrested the tailor, who has been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Mansa Ram of Chadai Mutal, district Udhampur, at present near Municipal Committee Office, Katra, he disclosed.
A case under 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started, SSP stated.
