It is an old saying that “necessity is the mother of invention “. As the development and rapid growth of human civilisation began to initiate it gave rise to growing needs of the humans. A man began to explore various possibilities and new ways of sustaining on earth. With the passage of time humans realised to learn new skills and inventions or discoveries to extract benefits from it i. e arts; culture and science. Since the concept of urbanization came into existence people began to look out for well versed and decent occupations to survive on earth. But still their were some who were not able to find a suitable job according to their needs and educational qualifications in technical as well as in academic fields and some unwilling to work due to lack of skills and lack of education. Unemployment is the most petrifying and a curse on the human existence. Its a blot or a stigma on a nation. In case of India their are about 61% unemployed people according to NSSO report between July 2017 and June 2018 ;which is daunting to tackle. Also due to population explosion it is important to absorb both skilled as well as unskilled labour. Its prevalent among illetrates and literates either. In the present scenario unemployment has become a massive issue with the growing population. A large no. of population is to be provided with basic amenities like food clothing and shelter. Unemployment is a matter of concern for the whole world. We have to contemplate over the growing rate of unemployment and lack of economic opportunity. Talking about unemployment its of various kinds and it can be voluntary ;involuntary ;structural and frictional etc. depending on the prevailing plight. Economic opportunity involves providing a living to the people and pay them for rendering their services to their owners where they work. Economic and political environment affect the aspect of unemployment in a big way. If the political environment and government policies are propitious and if there is stability in political arena ;then employment opportunity is more perpetual.
Economic environment involves various economic issues and policies that regulate and shape the economy of a country. Since the Government of the country plays a pivotal role in employment generating opportunities. But if the resources available are not utilised judiciously it can lead to the situation of depression in an economy e. g factories remain ideal; piece of land is barren etc. if these resources are not efficiently utilised and scarcity persists in an economy besides environment degradation it can lead to devastation.
Government should efficiently utilise these resources to make them more productive and employment generating. There are various employment generating schemes like integrated rural development programme ;rural housing, Indira Awaas Yojana; food for work programme; Jawaharlal rozgar yojana etc. where the Government authorities should ensure the maximum participation in the rural and remote areas. More steps need to be taken to protect the interest of the unorganised sector employees and provide them secure job opportunities to ensure overall growth rate in employment. India is a vast country with its population on second position in the world. It is much stricken by the aspect of lack of economic opportunity. It has to make the optimal and efficient use of its man power and leaning more towards labour intensive means of production. The Indian population should not be projected as the population of 1.32 billion people but it should be projected as the population of 1.32 billion minds which are capable enough of creating a skillful ;a country that plunges into the vertigo of iridescence and a country of exuberance. Corruption and red tapism should be completely eradicated from the Government departments which bring obstacle in providing job opportunities to the common man. Infact it is the primary problem of our country.
Revolutionary steps to be taken to develope the primary ;secondary and tertiary sectors. It is very essential to ensure that the government takes the right steps and necessary actions and innovative ways to make our country a fully employed ones. Our country will only progress when it will generate maximal employment opportunities by keeping their politics at bay.
