I want to draw your attention towards the malpractices committed by the sweet shops in Jammu during the festival of Raksha Bandhan. As we all know that sweets are generally distributed among relatives during the Raksha Bandhan. It’s a matter of big shame that most of the sweet makers use this opportunity as a means to loot the people . I went to a famous sweet shop where I was appalled to see the chaos. They were selling sweets to the people without measuring the sweet boxes and and above all , they were not giving the bills of the purchases being made by the customers . And when few of the people asked for the bills, their pleas fell on the deaf ears as they were not given any heed by the owner and the workers. And same is the case with the most of the other sweet shops in our city. It’s a matter of sheer loot and the concerned authority needs to take a strict action in this regard. Even in this modern age where a customer is believed to be the most important element of the market , it’s a shame that the customers are being fleeced in this manner. Hence, it is suggested that necessary actions should be taken by the concerned authority to ensure that such things don’t happen in the near future so that the customers may not suffer .
