JAMMU, Jan 12: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital Ambphalla, Jammu today celebrated the 160th birth anniversary of Swami Ji and 53rd foundation day of the hospital.
As per the statement, the celebration event was participated by members, doctors, staff and prominent citizens of Jammu.
The function started with a Holy Hawan for peace, progress, wellness and prosperity of the people and the Nation. Later, Amar Chand Gupta, Senior Vice-President of the mission threw light on the life and achievements of Swami Vivekananda Ji.
BB Gupta, General Secretary of the mission highlighted the performance and additional achievements of the hospital including the establishment of NICU, ICU, Dialysis section, RFA system for varicose veins, C-Arm for orthopaedic patients, laparoscopic facility for gynae patients, installation of NCT, OCT, C3R and pentacam facilities in the eye section amounting worth Rs 2 crores approximately under the current body headed by Anil Gupta.
The Governing Body of the hospital also posthumously honoured Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta and Yash Paul Puri, the founder members of the hospital for their contribution in upliftment of hospital.
They also honoured senior most members Dr Subash Gupta, Chief Patron; Dr Bankey Behari Lal Gupta, Patron; Amar Chand Gupta, Senior Vice-President and Atma Saroop Gupta, Vice President.
A free eye camp was also organised in the hospital for the poor and needy patients under the supervision of the eminent surgeon, Dr Suruchi Gupta.
Romesh Gupta, member of the management committee, presented the vote of thanks.
