YOL (HP), June 7: On 57th day of the 78-day ‘Yajna Anushthan’ of all four Vedas being conducted at Ved Mandir here, Swami Ram Swarup Ji, Yogacharya, explained teachings from Atharvaveda Kanda 4.
He said: “O Lord! May the strength of the clouds spread across the sky so that abundant rainfall occurs in the country resulting in the availability of pure water on the earth and production of grains, fruits and other necessities to protect lives of the people on this earth.”
Swami Ji further prayed: “May God destroy our sufferings through rainfall because life is impossible without water.”
He said that the God, through the rays of the sun, lifts water from oceans into the atmosphere, due to which rainfall occurs from the sky.
Swami Ji also said that ‘Yajnam Tanvatam’ means that Yajnas should be performed abundantly on earth in every home and through rainfall and Yajna, many kind of medicinal herbs are produced and these become a source of happiness and well-being for living beings.
He further stated that God has established the laws governing rainfall, which sustains life.
Swami Ji advises human beings to practice austerity and self-discipline throughout the year.
