JAMMU, Mar 18: Govardhana Puri Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshajanand Devtirth inaugurated the world’s first Mobile Sanskrit Gurukul class at SR College Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Shankaracharya said that the world’s first Mobile Sanskrit Gurukul, inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, is teaching Sanskrit free of cost in Jammu. He said that Mahant Rohit Shastri is doing good work to promote Trust Devvani Sanskrit. He also appreciated Chudamani Sanskrit Sansthan, Bhasoli.
Also present on the occasion was former minister Sham Lal Sharma, who said that the culture which develops Sanskrit and gets cultured from Sanskrit awakens world peace and social development even in today’s era. He said such events will boost the morale of Sanskrit lovers. He lauded the dedication of SKJRVS Trust towards brining Sanskrit in main stream and making it reach to every part of the society in from of Mobile Sanskrit Gurukul.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri, head of Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Institute Trust, told that “Mobile Gurukul” has been inaugurated on the occasion of late Dr Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak’s birth centenary for which the vehicle has been donated by Rakesh Gandotra, secretary of the Trust.
Dr Awadhesh Singh (MLA from Pindra Vidhansabha, Varanasi) said that Sanskrit literature is the richest and most complete in human history. The main reason for doing this program is to promote Devvani Sanskrit, he added.
DIG Shakti Pathak said that learning Sanskrit language helps in sharpening the mind and gaining knowledge about ancient texts and scriptures which are mainly written in Sanskrit language.
On the occasion, Director Sanskrit University Prof Madan Mohan Jha said that with the development of Devvani Sanskrit, the dream of India becoming a Vishwaguru will not only come true, but the world will also move forward on the path of overall development with peace.
