This has reference to article “Jammu, Independence awaits!” DE Aug 11 The article is brilliantly written and makes the reader think that where our society is going. A few years back, people could not even think that the institutions of higher excellence such as IIT will come to Jammu. It was a dream come true that the IIT, IIM and AIIMS are coming to Jammu with the help of Modi led NDA Government.
Previously less importance was given to the people of Jammu and more benefits were given to the people of Kashmir. Equal opportunities should be provided to people of J&K and there should be no partiality in this regard. In the article “Jammu, Independence awaits!” the author says a very important statement that we should stand united. There are various examples in this regards such as floods in Chennai. People of Tamil Nadu have united among themselves and they stay together, whether in calamities or to release fisherman of Sri Lanka which are Tamilians. It is the need of the hour that people of Jammu should stick together and work for the demands of people of Jammu.
