JAMMU, Jan 25: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO), Kashmir wing, has registered case against former MLC of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mohammad Sultan Ganie Panditpuri on the basis of a communication forwarded by the General Administration Department (GAD) to the SVO.
The case was registered after the State Accountability Commission (SAC) reached the conclusion on the basis of a complaint lodged by one Sonaullah son of Abdul Subhan Mir R/o Batagund, Kupwara in which he had alleged that the then MLC had demanded and accepted gratification worth Rs 60,000 from the complainant for getting his son and son-in-law appointed in Jammu and Kashmir Police.
“The allegations were verified by the State Accountability Commission, which had established the charges,’’ official sources said.
