JAMMU, May 4: Shri Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLRC), New Plot, Jammu, today organized a function to honour artists and social workers for their extraordinary performance in various fields.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Dr Sat Paul, former special secretary.
Prominent among those honoured on the occasion included JR Sagar (renowned actor), Hans Raj Hans (renowned poet), Maheshwar Vishwakarma (social activist), Mangal Dass Verma (social activist), Deeksha Verma (IAS aspirant), and Kamal Verma (writer).
Earlier in his welcome address, Balwant Kataria disclosed in detail the achievements of Shri Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre in the year 2014-15. He said SVLRC is actively engaged in the field of Art, Literature, Culture, History and Education sector. He also threw light on the literary work done by the awardees.
Shashi Verma, Joginder Angotra, Charanjit Chargotra, Madan Lal Chalotra, Maheshwar Vishwakarma, Ramesh Angotra, Om Prakash Kataria, Santosh Kumari Verma, Ashok Salgotra, Suman Lata, Amit Virdhi, Vivek Salgotra, Sanjeev Verma, Ratul Dhiman, Sham Chargotra and Raj Kumar Choudhary was also present.
