JAMMU, July 8: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a suspended police cop and his associate along with heroin.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota laid a naka at Suketar and intercepted a Indica car bearing registration number JK02AG-3586 which was on its way to Jammu.
During checking, police team recovered 2 grams heroin from the vehicle and arrested two persons including a suspended police cop posted at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Majeed (suspended police cop), son of Abdul Gani of Kansi Pata District Reasi and Baldev Singh (petrol pump worker), son of Jattu Ram of District Samba.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested cop was involved in various NDPS Act cases.
A fresh case under FIR Number 176/2022 under section 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
