NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today dismissed as mere ”rumours” the reports that she was being considered as candidate for the coming presidential polls.
The Government is holding parleys with Opposition parties in a bid to arrive at consensus for Presidential nominee, but so far none of the sides had declared its candidate.
The names doing the rounds include that of Ms Swaraj too.
When asked about it, she dodged a direct answer, saying she was the External Affairs Minister, but was being asked something which was related to internal affairs. (AGENCIES)
