JAMMU, Jan 30: Rayat-Bahra Dental College has been ranked best in Punjab and 17th in India by Silicon India Magazine in January 2014 issue after a recent survey.
The College scored 520 out of 600 composite score after being assessed on various tough parameters. The students and the staff of the College are very excited on this great achievement.
When asked, the students stated that this achievement was possible only because of untiring efforts of their Director Principal, Lt Gen (Retd.) Dr Paramjit Singh and the Rayat-Bahra Management.
Rayat & Bahra Dental College is a multi specialty dental wing that deals with the nature, identification and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.
The first batch of 100 students was admitted to the college in 2011 after approval by the Dental Council of India. Ever since, the College has grown by leaps and bounds.
In addition to basic and advanced dental treatments being done at the hospital, they also boast of a very successful community outreach programme.
The College runs a mobile dental van which moves in nearby villages to provide free medical support to patients seeking dental advice and treatment.
The nearby villages have well appreciated the efforts of the group towards social responsibility.
On the whole, the College is continuing to grow in an advanced way from its infancy stage till date.
The Group spokesperson Sumit Bahl also announced the opening of the Rayat-Bahra multi specialty hospital shortly opposite to their Mohali Campus.
