It was quite delighting to read about Rahul Jarngal, the local boy who scaled world’s highest peak Mt Everest. The boy has made whole of the State proud by his remarkable feat. To achieve this objective, one needs not only to be physically fit, but mentally as well.
By surmounting the highest peak, he has displayed his courage, confidence and above all his determination. He will emerge as role model for sportpersons of the State.
His success underlines the fact that the youth of this State are no less competent than the youth of rest of the country. The youth here need opportunities to explore, they need guidance and counselling.
It is lack of opportunities, particularly, in rural areas which youth can not avail. The Government must create these opportunities for them, and allow them to excel in the field they want.
