Sunil reviews performance of PWD, PMGSY

KISHTWAR, Oct 30: Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers of the R&B and PMGSY Departments to review their physical and financial achievements in respect of Centrally and state sponsored schemes including district plan and NABARD.
MLC Firdous Tak was also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Kishtwar informed him about the status of various ongoing works in the district and the problems being faced by them in the completion of some projects including pending compensation of land acquired for certain roads, removal of structures, title verification and shortage of funds.
The Minister directed the concerned Executive Engineers to choose four to five roads which are lying pending due to minor hurdles including titles verification, preparation of land compensation papers and complete them on the priority basis during this financial year so that the resources and energy can be diverted on the pending projects in next financial year.
He also exhorted upon all the revenue officers to work in tandem with the executing agencies and complete all the revenue papers of the land acquired for the construction of roads within 15 days.
Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar G N Balwan, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma and CPO Kishtwar Dr Yasir Balwan were also present in the meeting.
