JAMMU, May 27: Suman Gupta, internationally acclaimed senior artist of J&K shall be showcasing his new series of works in a major one man show in USA.
The month long show is being organized by “Gallery Christine Frechard” in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, a place where his mentor and guru, the great American realist artist Andrew Wyeth lived and worked at his studio in chads ford and produced hundred of works in his 90 years of long career as a painter.
Suman Gupta has tirelessly worked and consistently been experimenting with the medium he liked most “Dry brush and tempera and has produced some of the finest works mostly on wood panel, paper as well as on canvas for this series. His paintings of the familiar places of his world and of the people and friends reveal an unusual sensitivity to his subject.
