JAMMU, Oct 22: Suman Gupta, internationally acclaimed senior artist from J&K State, shall be showcasing his new series of works in a major group show in Dubai next month.
The show titled “autumn odyssey” is being organized by Gallery Verandah, which shall commence from November 11, 2016 in Dubai. The show is being organized with some well established senior artists along with the upcoming artists from India showing their new works to the larger art connoisseurs ‘in UAE
Suman Gupta’s paintings are inspired by beauty & turbulence rampant in the region but what distinguished this self-taught artist from rest of his elk is the apparent ethnic feel of his works. All the central characters and other elements in his magic realistic paintings are clearly based on his own people and the land. Thus making him a true chronicler as well as ambassador of the strong sacred base that projects everyday life of the hill and highland Dogra communities of Jammu Shivaliks. His latest series of works to be shown questions the reasons behind the human existence and his continuous struggle to find love, peace and happiness during his existence on this earth.
