JAMMU, Nov 10: Former Minister & MLA Marh Sukhnandan Kumar today visited Jhiri & took stock of the seven days Mela which is scheduled to start here from Nov.14.He asked the officers of different departments such as PHE, PDD, Medical etc. to ensure the smooth functioning of Mela & provide the requisite facilities to the devotees coming to pay obesience.
On the occasion former Minister said “it is a great priviliage for the people of Marh that we have such a religious place in our constituency where lakhs of devotees from different parts of the country visit Jhiri to take blessings of Shri Baba Jittoo”.He also said that State’s BJP-PDP Government is committed to promote the religious tourism in the State and in this regard a comprehensive mechanisms has been put in place which would ensure development of various religious places across the State.
SDM Marh Vedraj, Tehsildar Marh Babu Ram, Director CCDU Rajiv Malhotra, SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma, SHO Kanachak Rajesh Sharma & some prominent people of the area also accompany the MLA during his visit.
