Reasi, Aug 30: 3-day historic mela being held at Sujandhar area of district Reasi, concluded today with traditional fervor and gaiety.
On the last day , a dangal was also organized. Number of political personalities of district Reasi who marked their presence in the Sujandhar Mela include MLA Ajay Nanda, Jugal Kishore Sharma ex Minister & MLC and Saraf Singh Nag (ex KAS officer) and others .
MLA, Reasi, Ajay Nanda who was chief guest on the occasion appreciated the efforts of organizers and said that the local festivals play a significant role in reviving the old traditions and generate awareness among the masses about the various schemes of the Government. Such events also help in preserving and promoting the priceless multifaceted cultural heritage and strengthen the bonds of mutual brotherhood, he added.
Nanda said that equitable development of all the areas of his Constituency is his agenda and he will always be guided by the mantra of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Nanda said that he will not rest till he creates an atmosphere of ease and comfort for the residents of his Constituency & develop Reasi as a model constituency. He also stressed that Bomaag needs to be included in tourism map.
