Suicidal attack on CRPF convoy widely condemned

JAMMU, Feb 14: Terming suicidal attack on CRPF convoy at Awantipora as gruesome, cowardly and terrible, various political and social organizations besides their leaders have strongly condemned the assault and conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved families of slain CRPF Jawans.
“Very sad indeed. Heart-wrenching. My condolences to the bereaved families of the brave hearts and members of the force,” said Devender Singh Rana, Provincial president of National Conference, in a tweet. Terming the dastardly act of terrorism as highly condemnable, he further said that terror has no place in a civilized society.
Former Minister and senior NC leader Ajay Sadhotra termed the attack as most unfortunate, sad and cowardice act. He also expressed sympathies with the families of the Jawans, killed and injured. Surjit Singh Slathia, Rattan Lal Gupta, Kashmira Singh, Ajaz Jan, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Vijay Bakaya, Trilochan Singh Wazir, Bimla Luthra, Deepender Kour, Vijaylaxmi Dutta, Satwant Kour Dogra, Choudhry Haroon, S S Bunty, Abdul Gani Teli, Vijay Lochan, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal and others also condemned the attack and expressed sympathies with the families of martyred jawans.
Former Minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma condemned the cowardice incident and said that it was high time to give a befitting reply to Pakistan. All political parties especially Kashmir centric parties should rise above party politics and give whole hearted support to the Government for any operation against Pakistan, he said adding that this tragedy should be taken as national tragedy and supreme sacrifice of CRPF jawans shouldn’t go waste.
Other senior leaders of State Congress, including Madan Lal Sharma, Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, M S Niaz, G M Saroori, Ravinder Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, Balwan Singh, Th Manmohan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, S Manjeet Singh, Ch Shah Mohd, Shahnawaz Choudhary, Vikram Malhotra, Namrata Sharma, A S Micky, Shiv Dev Singh, G L Chalotra, Y V Sharma and others also condemned the attack on CRPF convoy and expressed deep sympathy with families of those martyred.
CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said that the killing of CRPF personnel was highly condemnable and once again reminds that violence was not the answer to resolve the issues. “The Modi-Government had promised, three years ago, to initiate a political process involving all stakeholders through a dialogue. This has not happened and must be done immediately,” he said and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the personnel, who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
State BJP president Ravinder Raina condemned the attack and warned the militants and their masters sitting across border that they have to pay heavy price for this. He said the blood of martyrs will never go waste and the might of Indian Army will crush militancy and their masters across borders. He expressed his sympathies with families of the martyrs and said that the Nation is indebted to them He further asked people to maintain peace in the State and at the same time frustrate the designs of enemies of the nation by providing inputs to security forces to neutralize militants.
Former Dy Chief Minister & Senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta condemned the attack and said that it was time for the Kashmiri people to think about the nefarious designs of the Pakistan sponsored terrorists who were not allowing restoration of normalcy in the Province.
People’s Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone has strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack on CRPF convoy and said that he was deeply disturbed by this senseless act of violence. “My heart goes out for the families of soldiers killed in the attack and I pray for speedy recovery of the injured soldiers,”?he said in a statement.
Former Indian Army Chief and former Governor Gen J J Singh, who recently joined Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali), strongly condemned the attack and saluted the selfless sacrifice of CRPF soldiers. He also expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones. “I pray further for speedy recovery of the injured in this attack, “Gen Singh added.
Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta strongly condemned this ghastly attack on CRPF vehicles and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives of the soldiers who attained martyrdom for the cause of the country. He also urged Government of India to teach Pakistan a lesson once for all as this country has become mother of terrorism across the globe.
Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Chairman Ch Lal Singh said that such a barbaric incident has sent a shock waves across the country and DSS stands with the families of the martyrs . He also said that those who are the sympathizers of the militants and always spit venom on the actions of the security Forces for political gains, must be booked under law
Chairman PDF, Hakeem Yaseen has expressed shock over the death of CRPF personnel in suicidal attack and said that killing of human lives gives nothing other than leaving bad scars on humanity. He said Center should rethink over its Kashmir policy and immediately start dialogue on resolution of Kashmir dispute so that ongoing bloodshed and mayhem is stopped.
BJP senior leader and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma has also strongly condemned the Pulwama attack on CRPF by Fidayeen. In a statement issued today, he said at the hour of grief entire nation stands solidly behind the martyrs’ families. He said the sacrifice of valiant jawans of CRPF will not go waste. He also prayed for immediate recovery of injured.
Senior BJP leader and MLC, Ashok Khajuria while expressing his shock and grief over the Fidayeen attack on CRPF convoy termed it a big security and intelligence failure. In a statement issued here, today, Khajuria said it is the time for introspection instead of blaming each other. All political parties should join hands to weed out terrorism from the State, he added.
RSS Prant Sangh Chalak, Brig (retd) Suchet Singh has also strongly condemned the attack and demanded a strong action against terrorism. He said time has come when the nation should take drastic steps in crushing terrorists and destroy their support base.
BJP leader and MLC, Ajatshatru Singh while condemning the attack said entire nation has been shocked by this dastardly act and people of country are solidly behind the families of martyrs whose sacrifice will not go waste as India will emerge triumphant in its war against terrorism.
Senior Congress leader and former Ministers R S Chib and Jugal Kishore Sharma have also strongly condemned the terrorist attack on CRPF jawans in Pulwama and expressed their sympathies with martyrs’ families. They termed the attack a big security lapse.
Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) Jammu, president, Baldev Raj Sharma while strongly condemning the dastardly act in which 40 CRPF jawans attained martyrdom has urged the Modi Government to teach Pakistan a lesson by attacking terrorist camps on its territory and also liberate POK from its clutches the task which remained unfinished in last 70 years.
Dogra Brahmin Prathinidhi Sabha, Jammu president, Ved Parkash has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on CRPF convoy and demanded that GoI should step up Operation All Out to weed out terrorism from the State. He said India should go for offensive and destroy Pakistan which is hub of terrorism.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president, Kundan Kashmiri while strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack on CRPF Convoy and killing of dozens of soldiers by the terrorists in Pulwama district of Kashmir Valley has termed it a big intelligence failure and security lapse.
BJP leader, Raman Suri while condemning attack said that sacrifices of jawans will not go waste and like past the perpetrators will be hunted down.
Vishaw Manav Adhikar Parishad, State president, Abdul Hamid while strongly condemning the dastardly act of Fidayeen said terrorism is not a threat to India only but entire world. He said terrorists have no religion and they should be treated as terrorists and strong laws should be framed to curb their activities.
Sham Lal Langer, national president Akhil Bharatiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (All India Mahajan Biradari) strongly condemned the attack and demanded stern action against Pakistan. He said the whole nation stands with the family of the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for the sake of nation.
The KP Sabha Jammu has called for retaliation in such a manner that the perpetrators, their Pakistani masters and local harbourers do not dare to even think of indulging in this kind of inhuman act again. The Sabha prayed for eternal peace to the martyrs and said that the incident should serve as an eye opener to those political leaders who continue to remain in denial about the presence of ISIS in Jammu and Kashmir
Strongly condemning the attack, Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal said it was the right time that Government of India directs the security forces to once again target and destroy terrorist training camps across the border in Pakistan besides giving befitting reply to terrorists by neutralizing their barbaric acts.
Condemning the attack, Kranti Dal president Pritam Sharma has asked the Governor Satya Pal Malik to take strict action against the culprits who are behind this incident. He demanded more surgical strike on the elements behind this incident.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Ashok Gupta took out a protest against the barbaric Fidayeen attack on the CRPF vehicles and demanded stern action against those supporting terrorism and a befitting reply to Pakistan.
Rajesh Gupta, J&K State president National Democratic Party, expressed shock over the killing of CRPF Jawans and said that the whole nation is grieved and stands in solidarity with the families of the martyrs.

All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) president, Advocate, Ravinder Raina and general secretary, Dr Tej while strongly condemning the dastardly attack said it is unfortunate that Government of India has failed in last three decades to evolve a concrete policy of dealing with the terrorists and foiling such attacks.
All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) chairman, Desh Rattan while condemning the terrorist attack said that the political parties of the country who are making irrelevant statements just for power politics should take a lesson from such attacks as it is the pseudo secular parties of India who are providing oxygen to terrorism by their statements.
Ex Sarpanch and social activist, Nana Ji Raina while condemning the attack demanded suspension of concerned SSP and SHO. He termed it big security lapse and failure of security and intelligence agencies.
Displaced Kashmir Sikh Council, president, Harmohinder Singh has also strongly condemned the Fidayeen attack on CRPF bus and killing of valiant soldiers.
Manavadhikar National Party (MNP) president, Sanjay Dhar and party spokesman Ravinder Raina have also strongly condemned this ghastly act.
Muslim Development Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Syed Shabir Shah and condemned the terror attack on CRPF convoy. The Front also extended support to the bandh call.
