Sufficient stock of essential commodities in Jammu Division: Div Com

Jammu, Aug 8: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today said that there is sufficient stock of essential commodities available in all districts of Jammu Division.
The Div Com, while chairing a meeting of concerned officers and traders, had a detailed review of supply position of availability of essentials including fruits and vegetables.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Horticulture (Planning &Marketing), Digvijay Gupta and other concerned.
It was informed that adequate stock of essentials is available in districts of Jammu Division to cater to the requirement of consumers and regular supply is also being ensured in all the districts. He said that an effective mechanism has been evolved to make sure that in this prevailing situation the people of every area get adequate supply of ration and other basic facilities. A strong coordination is being ensured at all levels to facilitate the people.
He said that sufficient availability of essentials and other requisite facilities are being extended to all parts of Rajouri, Poonch and Kashmir valley as well. Besides, FCI and oil companies are ensuring adequate supply to areas of Kashmir valley to ensure that the people in the valley do not suffer on this account.
The Div Com asked the concerned officers and others for ensuring that people do not suffer on account of essential commodities and other basic services during ensuing festivals of Eid and Rakhsha Bandan.
Verma, while elaborating on present situation in Jammu division, said that the lives here have been restored to normal with people roaming in the markets and performing their routine chores.
