UDHAMPUR, June 10: Arrangements for the smooth conduct of 3-day historical Sudhmahadev Mela starting from June 12 at Sudhmahadev in tehsil Chenani were reviewed in a meeting of district officers of different departments held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Vikas Sharma.
District Information Officer, Udhampur, Dr. Ashwani Hansa, Tehsildar Chenani (Mela Officer) , Dr. Usman Khan, Tehsildar (A.R), Ramnagar, Kavita Pandoh, district heads of various departments, members of local mela committee were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions on arrangements for drinking water and power supply, medicare, sanitation, security, transport, accommodation, checking of rates of essentials and parking of vehicles were held in the meeting.
The ARTO Udhampur would ensure plying of adequate number of buses from Udhampur and other routes leading to Sudhmahadev..
A committee comprising of Assistant Director, CA&PD, Naib Tehsildar Sudhmahadev and Food Inspector was constituted to keep a strict vigil on rates and quality of eatables besides adequate parking places would also be identified at different locations for the smooth flow of traffic.
To acquaint the people about state and centrally sponsored schemes, various departments would set up their exhibition stalls during mela days. Cultural programmes would also be organised during the mela days. Tehsildar, Chenani would be the Mela Officer to supervise all arrangements.
