JAMMU, June 6: All the subordinate courts of Jammu division have been closed for summer vacations with effect from today.
According to the order issued by Registrar General Sanjeev Gupta, the subordinate courts of Jammu Province excluding the courts located at Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Doda, Batote, Gool, Bani, Banihal and Ukhral, shall observe 15 days summer vacation with effect from June 6 to June 20 (both days inclusive).
The Registrar General also asked the Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates of all the districts to make suitable arrangements for disposal of urgent criminal business arising during the vacations in the areas within their respective jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Parihar has nominated District & Sessions Judges as Vacation Sessions Judges to deal with the criminal matters.
Deepak Sethi, Additional District & Sessions Judge Jammu will be Vacation Sessions Judge from June 6 to June 10, Balbir Lal Jaswal, Special Judge (Fast Track Court) POCSO cases holding the charge of 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu will be Vacation Sessions Judge from June 11 to June 15 and Ashwani Sharma, Special Judge NIA/TADA/POTA Court will be Vacation Sessions Judge from June 16 to June 20.
Meanwhile, Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu also appointed Duty Magistrate for the vacations. Manjeet Rai, City Judge Jammu will be Duty Magistrate from June 6 to June 10, Khem Raj Sharma Special Mobile Magistrate (Passanger Tax & Shops estt Act) will be Duty Magistrate from June 11 to June 15 and Railway Magistrate Jammu Raj Kumar will be Duty Magistrate from June 16 to June 20.
