Subash Gupta visits border areas of Hiranagar

KATHUA, Oct 23: In view of the sufferings of  Hiranagar border people due to continuous unprovoked mortar shelling by Pakistan, District Congress Committee (DCC) president and former MLC Subash Gupta along with Jugal Kishore Bali, Rajesh Kumar, advocate Sanjeev Mathur, Narinder Singh, Blbir Kumar, Rameshwar Sharma, Aniket Khajuria and Laadi Sharma conducted tour of affected villages. Gupta strongly criticized the Pakistan’s conduct of this heinous criminal act.
During visit to villages situated at Zero Line including Paati, Bobiya, Manyari, Chak Changa, Chan Tanda, Gujjar Chak, Kadyala, and other villages Subash Gupta met with the villagers and took stock of the situation.
Subash Gupta criticizing the Pakistan behaviour of conducting heinous criminal acts repeatedly said that last year also Pakistan Rangers initiated cross border firing in the month of October. However, this time also the firing has resulted into injuries to civilians, animals and damaging of property and loss of crops.
“Pakistan could never succeed in its designs in our country because there is unity and integrity between all communities, which plays fundamental role to defeat the enemies of the country,” Gupta added.
Lambasting Union Governm-ent he said, “It is the Government, which has totally failed to tackle the Pakistan and confined itself up to the high speeches as castles in the air.”
He demanded adequate compensation for inability to cultivate the land beyond border fencing. Giving reference of the hardships of the border hamlets’ he also demanded of special recruitment drive in army/paramilitary forces/ State Police.
