Subash Gupta asks workers to gear up for ULB polls

KATHUA, Sept 1: To discuss various issues, problems and demands of the public, Congress held meeting at Hiranagar, which was presided over by former MLC and senior party leader Subash Gupta.
During the meeting, a large number of ex-Panches, ex-Sarpanches and other activists’ participated and raised various issues pertaining to the public of their area. The representatives mainly highlighted demands like non-availability of ration, shortage of drinking water, power cuts, problems faced by people residing on the border, worst condition of link roads and price hike of daily need commodities including cooking gas and petroleum.
Subash Gupta after listening to the problems of the representatives said that escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the previous Government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that it turned Nelson’s eye towards public.
Gupta depicting the BJP’s failure to respect the mandate and bartering the interests of the electorate of Jammu in every respect said that BJP surrendered all its’ ideological stand and other promises to share power and has deceived the electorate.
He said that the BJP exploited the people of Jammu on various slogans of abrogation of Article 370, rights to PoK and West Pakistan refugees, delimitation of constituencies, plots to the border residents, Rasana issue besides promising a Chief Minister from the region.
“The people who voted heavily in favour of BJP and PDP are feeling that they were cheated and now the time has come to teach lesson to these power hungry parties in upcoming elections of Local Bodies and Panchyat elections,” he added.
Asking party men especially the youth, to be prepared for upcoming elections Gupta said that the youth have to play a vital role to defeat the politics of exploitation and falsehood. He further said that this time in Local Bodies and Panchyat elections people will have to caste vote for defeat of divisive politics.
