JAMMU, Dec 3: The Inspectorate staff of Drug & Food Control Organization (Drug Wing), carried out searches and inspection of stores belonging to Health Department, Sheep Husbandry Department and distributors operating in open market with an objective to prevent further use of drugs declared to be `Not of Standard Quality’ by the Government Analyst of the State.
During the exercise, seizure of drugs worth Rs 1, 37,750 was carried out by the empowered staff in exercise of powers vested under relevant provisions of Drug Regulation.
The seized medicines include Albomin (B.No: L-2127, L-2238), Amsil-SP (B.No: MT160640), Ansaid-P (B.No: AT-1601137), Inj Oxy-100, Glimperide & Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets (B.No: GT-160167), & Corex Cough Syrup.
Investigations on the individual basis are being carried out and the defaulters shall be booked as per legal provisions in due course of time.
The details of seizures carried out, has been brought to the notice of concerned Chief Judicial Magistrate for seeking custody thereof
